About the Role

Sime are seeking a Digital Business Analyst to join our team at our Melbourne Street branch. This is a 6-month fixed term, Monday to Friday role.

As a Digital Business Analyst, you will:

  • Define and document current and future state business processes.
  • Lead requirements gathering and produce clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage and refine the product backlog to ensure priorities are understood and ready for development.
  • Act as the key link between stakeholders, Product Managers/Owners, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate workshops to align teams on scope, design, and delivery decisions.
  • Apply agile analysis techniques, including story mapping and prioritisation.
  • Ensure proposed solutions deliver measurable business value.
  • Break down complex problems into actionable requirements.
  • Support the creation and review of program artefacts and MVP planning.

About You

A successful teammate will have experience in:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Business Analyst or Agile certification.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in business and/or technical analysis within a PMO, portfolio, or large transformation program.
  • Strong customer empathy and ability to influence product leaders using design thinking principles.
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and design thinking frameworks (e.g., Double Diamond, Google Design Sprints).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for documenting requirements.
  • Ability to identify and manage dependencies across cross‑functional teams.
